Clawing through the filth and wreckage of years long psychic damage, SULTRY has distilled revulsion into a tangible sonic form. Culture Desert Records is proud to present the debut EP from this deranged outfit from Roanoke, Virginia. Unleashing six blistering tracks of manic hardcore punk, Post Trauma captures the frenetic energy of SULTRY’s explosive live performances made safe for at home listening. These songs rip a page from the classic hardcore songbook and append it with a uniquely diseased modern ink. With lyrics that explore such harrowing themes as sleep paralysis and familial neglect, you’ll be taken on a journey into the blackened underbelly of contemporary existence. This raw and unsettling EP straddles the line between punk and hardcore with a production that emphasizes unpretentious riffs and pummeling rhythms.
Recorded at Not For The Weak! with Jordan Greenough and mastered by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studio. Screen printed covers on hand dyed paper. Edition of 50.
